Let’s be honest, not all content is equal. When running a news site, some stories inevitably carry more weight than others. So why not let your users know?
The PowerUp theme comes with an optional ‘Highlighted’ feature which – by simply placing a post in the “Highlighted” category – places an easily identifiable marker on it. This is especially fantastic for visitors short on time as it allows for quick scanning of important headlines.
If the user wishes to only see highlighted stories, it’s possible to link to the “Highlighted” category (you can even add the marker to a header tab as a nice visual indicator). And if you have no use for such a feature, it can of course be disabled altogether.
